Pictures in seconds, not minutes: DAM at the sports event

At sports events, time is the scarcest resource — especially in media work. The goal, the match point, the podium: press, social media and sponsors want the pictures while the game is still running, not the day after.

The old way: the laptop at the sideline

The classic process: the photographer shoots hundreds to thousands of frames, loads them onto a laptop between plays and starts working on site — selecting, typing captions and keywords, identifying the players in frame. Five to ten minutes pass per finished picture. And while the attention is on the screen, the next decisive scene happens on the pitch — without a photo.

The result: only a few, late pictures make it out, and the photographer spends part of the game doing data entry.

The new way: from the camera straight into the system

With a DAM the whole flow moves forward — the manual work between shutter and publication disappears:
