What is VisionFace?
VisionFace is VAULO's AI feature that uses registered reference images to automatically recognize and caption people throughout your entire media library.
Are my images used to train AI models?
No. VisionFace runs entirely on VAULO's own servers and doesn't use an external AI provider that data would be shared with.
Where does the processing take place?
Exclusively on our own servers — fully GDPR-compliant.
Can other customers see the people I've registered?
No. Every recognized person is assigned exclusively to your organization. Recognition never happens across organization boundaries.
Can I register multiple reference images per person?
Yes. That's especially useful if a person's appearance has changed over time.
Can I delete registered people again?
Yes. Through the built-in management view, reference images can be added, updated, or removed entirely at any time.
Can I use VisionFace for specific folders or images only?
Yes. You decide whether recognition happens automatically on every upload, is limited to specific spaces and folders, or applies purely manually to selected images.
Can I combine VisionFace with VisionAI Foto?
Yes. Once a person has been recognized by VisionFace, their name can then be carried automatically into the image description generated by VisionAI Foto.
